Giovanni Traverso, M.D., Ph.D.

Giovanni Traverso, MD, PhD, is a co-founder and Scientific Advisor of SUTOL Bio. He is the Director of the Laboratory for Translational Engineering, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, a gastroenterologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute. Trained across medicine and engineering, his work focuses on developing next-generation drug delivery systems, ingestible and implantable medical devices, and advanced diagnostics, with an emphasis on translating academic innovation into clinically and commercially viable technologies.
