Matt Murphy

Matt Murphy is a co-founder and Chief Engineer of SUTOL Bio. Trained in mechanical engineering, he oversees the design, prototyping, and manufacturability of the company's gastric-resident, long-acting oral drug delivery systems. His work focuses on device architecture, materials selection, and manufacturing strategy, bridging the gap between research prototypes and scalable, clinically viable technologies.

Previously, Matt conducted applied research within the Langer and Traverso laboratories at MIT and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. His expertise spans precision mechanical design, polymer science, and preclinical validation. At SUTOL Bio, he leads the translation of academic innovation into robust medical devices that meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements for real-world pharmaceutical deployment.
