Robert Langer, Sc.D.

Robert Langer, ScD, is a co-founder and Scientific Advisor of SUTOL Bio. He is an Institute Professor at MIT, a member of the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, and MIT's most senior faculty rank. Trained as a chemical engineer, his work focuses on the development of novel biomaterials, drug delivery systems, and medical devices, with a strong emphasis on translating academic innovation into clinically validated and commercially scalable technologies. His research has led to over 1,500 patents and the founding of more than 40 biotechnology and medical device companies, enabling numerous FDA-approved therapies and impacting hundreds of millions of patients worldwide.
